Overview of Redcliffe Suburb
Redcliffe is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located in the City of Belmont local government area.
The boundaries of the suburb are determined by the Great Eastern Highway, Tonkin Highway and Epsom Avenue, Belmont, and the grounds of the Perth International Airport which lie on the eastern edge of the suburb.
The story of its name is ambiguous: while some claim it was named after steep red clay deposits that lined the banks of the Swan River when settlers first arrived, others claim that it was named after the ancestral home of an early settler. The suburb was once a single property near modern-day Water Street and the main house, “Nulsen Haven” still stands today. The local primary school was built in 1908 and at this time, Redcliffe, WA had been transformed from one property into many small farms after being subdivided in 1897.

Is Redcliffe A Great Suburb To Live?
It is a reasonably quiet suburb but if you go to the parks and look along the streets you will see people walking dogs (and even the odd cat lol), talking to their neighbours and playing with family. A safe place for a young family.

“A”Great Place to Live” reviewed by Ric
Lived in Redcliffe for 8 years so far. It’s within 8km of the CBD so everything is accessable and there’s plenty of public transport (construction of the new Redcliffe railway station has commenced). Easy access to main transport routes (seems to be close to everything). No Homeswest or aircraft noise in the ‘top end’. Plenty of parks and the neighbours tend to look after their places. Good environment for kids.
“The best quiet suburb!” reviewed by Emma Swan
Redcliffe is a far better suburb than the surrounding Belmont or Cloverdale area.
Happily lived here for 15 years
